Best Places to Visit in Florida

Cocoa Beach Florida

I’m a native Floridian, born and raised. I know some of the best places to visit in Florida. I want to show my kids everything I love about the place I was raised and I think the best way to do that is to write.

Of course, in order to write about the best places, I should visit those places. 😉 That’s where the fun comes in! I’m going to relive my childhood through my children and find new places to visit.  You can follow me on this journey to find the best places to stay, eat, and play!

Do you have someplace special that you like to go in Florida? I’m always looking for new places and adventures. Feel free to send me a quick note (sh****@fa*********************.com) and I’ll check it out.

While I work on my list of favorite places, check out a few of the posts I’ve already written.

  1. Some of our fave places to visit in Florida are Gainesville for the annual Medieval Faire, Cedar Key for day trips (world champion clam chowder there), Naples and of course Orlando to visit the mouse 😉

    1. Melanie,
I’d really like to go back to Cedar Key, I haven’t been in about 20 years. I spend a lot of time in Orlando, so look for posts coming up including the Mouse. 😀 Thanks for your comments!

  2. When I go to Florida it’s usually because I’m going to Disney World. I’ve been there over 10 times but have never explored other parts of Florida. I bet some of the beaches there are really nice.. Id love to know where the best ones are!

    1. Kaitlin, I’m definitely going to be writing about which beaches to visit. Keep an eye on this travel series. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. My sister and I have a tradition of going to Miami. And because of those memories, my husband and I got married there for our destination wedding.
I love visiting north miami beach. The beaches are a bit more quieter but you are still walking distance (on the boardwalk) to south beach attractions. Great people watching. A favorite place my sister love to have a late breakfast is Marseilles Hotel. They have delicious breakfast and lunch items; and you can eat while you watch the people walk by.

    1. I’ve lived in Florida all my life, and I have never been to Miami. I’ve seen pictures and heard of some great places to see down there, but haven’t made the time to go myself. I think I’m going to check this out. Thanks for letting me know Diana.

    1. I’ve actually never been to Daytona during bike week, I might have to check it out. Have a great week, Christina.

    1. We have so much fun at the theme parks, Shannon. But, we absolutely love the beaches.

    1. I’ve lived in Florida my whole life and have yet to visit Universal Studios, Kate. I should probably check that out. 😀
