Homemade Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

Serves: 17 Biscuits
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 TBSP Baking powder
- 2 tsp. sugar
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ½ cup melted butter
- ¾ cup milk
- 1½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ tsp. garlic, minced
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Add melted butter and combine.
- Add milk until just moistened. *If still too dry, add milk by the tablespoon (up to 1 cup total) until just moistened.
- Add cheddar cheese and combine.
- On a greased baking sheet, add rounded spoonfuls of mixture. My biscuits are usually around 2 inches in diameter and make 17 biscuits.
- Add to oven to bake for 6 minutes.
- Melt ¼ butter and add 1 tsp. of garlic powder. Stir and set aside.
- Remove biscuits from the oven at 6 minutes and brush or pour melted garlic butter over the biscuits.
- Return biscuits to oven for 6 more minutes.
- Remove after 6 minutes and add any leftover garlic butter to biscuits.
