Muppets Most Wanted

I know that Muppets Most Wanted opens today, but I have been lucky enough to already see it two times! Did you catch my Red Carpet Experience and the interview I had with Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Contantine?  I grew up with The Muppets Show, along with Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Animal (among others).

Show of hands, who is going to see the movie this weekend? I’m taking my kids to see it! They are still young (4 & 5) but they know the characters and have watched the Muppets on TV, as well as the 2011 Muppets Movie.

Honestly, I think I enjoyed the movie more the second time I watched it. I noticed more ‘little’ things within the story and the music got stuck in my head (in a good way). You’ll find yourself singing throughout the film and humming the tunes, even days later. Songs like I’ll Get You What You Want (Cockatoo in Malibu) and I’m Number One are probably the most infectious. 😉

In Muppets Most Wanted you will be introduced to Constantine, the ‘Evil Frog’, who looks exactly like Kermit with the addition of a mole. We also see our favorite characters Fozzie Bear, Beaker and Bunsen, and (my favorite) Animal. The cast of actors is top notch, with names like Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, and Ty Burrell. Oh, and lets not forget the prisoners in the Gulag including Ray Liotta and Danny Trejo.

Like all Muppets movies, there is a ton of singing from Tina Fey singing in the Gulag, to the prisoners doing a ‘review’ style show. I have to say that the kids will enjoy this one because of the characters and music, and the adults will enjoy being taken back to their childhood with the Muppets. Oh, and watch for cameos from Lady GaGa and Christopher Waltz.

Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.

Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” is directed by James Bobin and produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Bobin wrote the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller, who is also executive producer with John G. Scotti. Featuring music from Academy Award®-winning songwriter Bret McKenzie, “Muppets Most Wanted” hits the big screen March 21, 2014.

Now, Muppets Most Wanted isn’t the only thing you get to see when you go to the movie! You actually get a Monsters University Short Film called Party Central. It is super cute and includes our favorite Monsters University characters having a Frat Party in the basement of Squishy’s house. It is so cute and you don’t want to miss this fun little short.
