Laugh out loud funny, kick-ass movie that you’ll want to see again and again.
Guardians of the Galaxy
I attended an advanced screening of Guardians of the Galaxy this week. My husband and I drove to Orlando, bought some popcorn and Snow Caps, then settled ourselves into some very comfy seats to watch the film. I’m not a big Sci-Fi fan, but my husband is so I figured we could watch the film together and give you both of our views.
Let’s start with the basics. The Guardians of the Galaxy are a band of misfits, thrown together to save the universe. Easy, right? Wrong. This movie is so much more than meeting a hero, falling in love, and riding off into the sunset. So.Much.More.
I laughed, I sang along, I cried. What a great way to spend two hours.
Star-Lord
Peter Quill is our hero and the star of the movie. Chris Pratt does an incredible job as a funny and kick ass Star-Lord. We knew that Chris had great comedic timing, but I will add the fact that he made a believable super hero. A super hero that we were rooting for throughout the entire film.
Gamora
Zoe Saldana as Gamora will keep you on your toes. She was raised by Thanos to become the perfect weapon and assassin. Is she really who we think she is?
Drax
Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer has a personal vendetta against Ronan. Is he as tough as he seems and will he ultimately get his revenge?
Groot and Rocket
Vin Diesel as Groot (voice). “I am Groot.” I fell in love with Groot. Yep. I fell in love with a walking tree. Sue me. 😉
Bradley Cooper as Rocket (voice). Rocket is the take charge, say whatever comes to mind bounty hunter and mercenary. Will he capture and return Peter Quill to those paying the bounty?
You’ll find the answers to all these questions when you go see the movie. Just be sure to get settled in and comfy because you won’t want to miss a minute of this action-packed film. Guardians of the Galaxy is a laugh out loud funny, high energy film that you’ll want to see again and again.
Oh, and let me tell you my favorite part. The Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack is my all-time favorite soundtrack. Great 1970s & 1980s music to keep you singing along and tapping your feet throughout the movie. I’ve already ordered my CD and it should be here tomorrow. Yay!
