There are only a few days a year that it gets cold enough to turn the heater on here in Florida. When the weather turns even a little cooler, I pull out my candles from the closet and go buy the cinnamon and apple scented candles. My husband doesn’t care for the food scented candles, because then he thinks that I’ve baked something, but I love those smells. Baking isn’t one of my strongest abilities, but buying candles is top on my list.
I look forward to this time of year so I can open the windows and let in the cooler (70 degree) air in and light a few Fall candles. Something about the Fall scents like pumpkin make me feel like I should be preparing for Thanksgiving. Cooking a turkey, making a pie and spending time with family. You really don’t think about the memories that certain scents remind you of until you light a candle. I love it.
I’m looking forward to Christmastime this year since my kids are getting older and they will be enjoying the season more. I’ve been looking for Winter candles and candle holders that they would like.
