I enjoy taking the kids for trips. We go to theme parks, water parks and any place that sounds like fun! They are still young, but I’ve been planning on taking them for a road trip in the near future. I found the Roadtrip-a-Matic and they have the perfect roadtrip for the kids. It is the Kidsylvania: Pittsburgh trip. It gives me a three day itinerary so I don’t have to do anything except drive!
Day one includes a visit to the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh where the kids will be able to play with “real stuff”! Then we move on to Station Square for some shopping time and finally on to Duquesne Incline for an awesome view of downtown Pittsburgh. What is great about the itinerary is that it includes places to eat and a place to sleep each night! The first day includes a stop at the Hard Rock Cafe and then overnight at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel.
Day 2 takes us to Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden, my daughter would love this! She loves flowers and gardens. Next we would go on Just Ducky Tours, Inc. It takes us on a tour of the city from our seats in a duck boat. Sounds fun! The last adventure for the day would be a visit to PNC Carousel. My kids would have a great time on this.
Our last day includes the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. I’d say the kids would have the most fun here because they love animals! It also includes a suggestion for our meal at Eddie’s Pizza Haus. Sounds wonderful. I love that pa-roadtrips gives me “detours” in case the kids want to do something different for the day. The detours suggested for this trip include The Cathedral of Learning as well as PNC Park, home to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Roadtrip-a-Matic makes planning roadtrips so much easier than just looking in a map book or even online and trying to figure out where to visit, where to stay and where to eat! This is a one-stop-shop and takes all the guess work out of traveling! I will definitely be using this service to plan our next vacation.
