My Review

I really enjoyed seeing the interaction between Danica and Kaylie in the first book, Sisters in Love. That book focused mostly on Danica’s life and meeting Blake (swoon!), whereas Sisters in Bloom spends the majority of the story on Kaylie and Chaz. In the beginning, I found Kaylie really annoying. She was a hot-mess with hormones and self-doubt that she wouldn’t be able to live out her dreams as a singer. She was self-absorbed and I wasn’t sure if I could go back to liking her as the character I saw in Sisters in Love. No worries though, she gets her act together and becomes someone I can relate to.

Melissa Foster weaves a story of sisters growing closer than ever, finding themselves, and finding friendship with each other. I found the romance between Kaylie and Chaz to be sweet and loving. Once they stop keeping secrets from each other, their relationship will be solid. It is an emotional story of love and happiness for both couples: Kaylie and Chaz, along with Blake and Danica.

When Kaylie finally realizes what she can be, the story picks up and the bond between the sisters grows and strengthens. I love the fact that Kaylie and Danica’s mother is back in the picture and I can’t wait to see her in some of the books coming up. Plus, the fact that the books are coming out every 30 days means I won’t forget what happened in the last book, which we all know can happen!

Sisters in Bloom is another winner from Melissa Foster and I can’t wait to read Sisters in White.
