Hubby and I have been doing this fruit, veggie and juice “thing” for 8 days now and I am so happy. The first 24 hours was just fruit, veggies and juice (see previous blog post for details), then after that we would have eggs for breakfast with our fruit and juice. Lunch and snacks would be fruit, veggies and juice and then a “sensible” dinner. For us, that was usually something from the crock pot consisting of chicken or beef along with a veggie and then I found an awesome recipe for a 3-2-1 Microwave Cake – so that was our treat each night. The kids (1 & 3) even got involved. They love fruit anyway, so that was easy.
“They” say it takes 21 days for something new to become a habit..so I’ve just got 13 days to go before this becomes my “lifestyle change”. I definitely see me sticking to this because I’ve been able to fit back in to my “skinny” jeans. Now, to be realistic, they are not “skinny” jeans to everyone, just me. That’s okay, they still makes me smile. Anyone have any tips, tricks, ideas on this fruit, veggie, juice “thing” so that it doesn’t get boring?
