Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
I don’t know about you, but Macaroni and Cheese is a staple in my house. I’ve never been a fan of the boxed stuff, so we usually make our own. I found this recipe a couple years ago and fell in love. It is super-easy, quick and tastes delicious!
Macaroni and cheese is such a comfort food. I’ve started using this recipe when we have family gatherings. It’s easy to make and is always a hit. I’m even making it for New Years Eve because we’re always sitting around as a family and hanging out, just eating snack foods all night. This is a great addition to the menu.

i have never been fan of mac and cheese, even when i was a kid, too fattening
Why do you bother to post a comment on something you don’t eat or would cook, especially a negative one?
b/c it asked you to post. it is not negative. not everyone likes mac and cheese.
there is no rule that states to post something if you have no intention on trying it. It seems to me it is encouraging people who have tried the recipe to post . Someone could have a better idea to add to or take from the recipe and it probably would be appreciated. THAT is the point of posting
I can’t wait to try this recipe. My husband’s favorite is mac n cheese and homemade for us has never been an option because I can’t get it right. It’s always too bland, not enough cheese taste, something. I’d like to learn to make it homemade vs. buying the boxed kinds. I love Paula Deen and I haven’t found a recipe of hers yet that has failed us so I’m gonna give this one a shot! Thanks!!
I can’t wait to try this! I usually just make the recipe that is on the Velveeta box.
This sounds great…need to try this tonight for supper.
Your family will love this recipe, Jackie!
This is my favorite recipe to take to potlucks!
I omit the eggs to keep it creamier, otherwise it comes out sort of curdled.
Just make sure that your pasta is aldente when you put it in the crockpot, because it softens while cooking.
I also 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup of shredded velveta instead of the 21/2 cups of of cheddar.
If you love Mac and Cheese, you have to try this recipe!
I have tried this recipe and actually place the uncooked macaroni in the crock pot. As mentioned in one of the previous comments the macaroni softens (cooks) during the process. I use 2 cups of cheddar and 1/2 cup of Colby jack
