Melissa Green Sing Loud! Music For Families Review and Giveaway

My kids have always loved singing and dancing. My husband is a musician and they get any ability to sing and dance directly from him. I was left out of that talent. When I received an offer to review a children’s music CD I gladly accepted.

What I received is not what I consider to be a typical children’s music CD. The Melissa Green Sing Loud! CD is music for the entire family. As soon as I put it in the CD player my two-year old started dancing and my four-year old started jumping up and down. The music is easy to listen to without being overly-catchy, as my husband says – this is not annoying like other kid’s music and the music is something everyone can dance to. We get up and dance with the kids during the songs. We’ve been playing the CD a few times a week for over a month and each of my kids knows the words to the songs!

All of her songs are fun to listen to and the kids have not gotten tired of hearing them. That’s saying something! Two and four-year old children normally don’t have a very long attention span. There are 12 songs on the Sing Loud! CD and I would say the kids keep going the majority of the album. The songs have different beats to keep the kids engaged and listening (and dancing!).

My favorite song is Sing Loud!, but I like the entire album. Two of the songs are duets with Brooke Shields. They include 4 Nickles and a Dime and We Got the Beat (yes, that one!).

I tried to get video of my kids dancing to the music, but my video recorder died. But I’ve got some great shots of them dancing to the beat. I recommend this CD for kids of all ages and will definitely be buying another CD from Melissa Green Music.

Melissa Green is offering one of my readers a copy of her Sing Loud! CD.
