My nephew has been on my mind quite a bit lately. I wanted to give you all the latest update on this horrible situation. Sometimes I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that it has been almost a year since Jake was killed.
The biological father will be going to trial and he will be facing first degree murder charges, along with some other charges. The step-mother has been charged and arrested as well. She is being charged with accessory as well as aiding and abetting.
The biological father’s trial is set to being in August and hopefully justice will be served, although I will never have my nephew back.

So sad! Little Jake deserves justice. Thankfully he’s in peace now with our heavenly Father!
