Finally! AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is in theaters TODAY!

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. There is so much humor throughout the film, weaved with Marvel’s signature action scenes. There’s a hint of romance, a little bit of swearing, and a ton of twists and turns throughout the film. I’ve been holding on to my review for two weeks! Two weeks, people. Do you know how hard it is to keep this from my husband? Let me tell you that he’s chomping at the bit to see this movie, luckily I won’t have to keep my secrets from him anymore. He’ll watch for himself.

In case you missed the interviews earlier this week, you can catch up now.

SIX reasons you should see AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON in the theater

  • James Spader is incredible as Ultron

James Spader shines through as Ultron. I told him during our interview that I felt he’s always played the bad guy that we love to hate. I may not like Ultron, but Spader brings this 8 foot robot to life. He’s freaking incredible in this roll. I felt that Ultron was channeling James Spader and not the other way around. I actually stopped thinking about Ultron as a robot by the end of the movie.

  • Hulkbuster

One word – Hulkbuster. Period. You’ve probably seen the clip of the Hulkbuster in action, if not I’m putting it here for you to watch. Seriously, I love this. What an incredible scene to watch in the film. It’s bad ass.

  • Humor

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON has funny moments and the fun starts with the first line of the movie. The jokes between The Avengers, even when they’re in battles, are great. One of my favorite scenes in the ‘Thor’s Hammer’ scene. The faces that Chris Hemsworth (Thor) makes throughout that scene are awesome. He actually talked about this scene in our interview with Chris Squared. Read the full interview here.

  • RDJ

This is just a given. Robert Downey, Jr. plays the ultimate super hero, in my opinion. Snarky, funny, mouthy, and sexy. Yeah, I said it. And…he has some pretty cool rides.

  • Character Development

There’s always the worry with a sequel that the characters will get stale, or there won’t be any additional character development. What I found while watching AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is that we learned something new about each of the characters, or at least saw another side of the character. It kept me glued to the screen the entire time and I’m glad that we got some new information. We see where S.H.I.E.L.D. is connected and if you haven’t already watched the last AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. you should. It was a great tie-in with this movie.

  • The Twins

So much of this story revolves around Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Their stories are intertwined with both Ultron and The Avengers. It makes for some great plot twists.

James Spader, Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany, and so many more make up one incredible ensemble cast. The ultimate Good vs. Evil movie that will have you laughing and holding your breath (although not at the same time).

Who’s your favorite Avenger? Mine is a tie between Thor and RDJ, although Hawkeye and Cap are on the list too. 😉
