I’m a little nervous because it’s already the first week of December and my Christmas shopping is NOT done! Insert worried mama here. Thanks to my friends at Babbleboxx I have a few new ideas that are perfect gifts for kids of all ages, including husbands.
Gifts for Kids
My children and husband have been reading the Harry Potter series of books for the past few months. It has become part of their pre-bed routine to gather around and read one chapter a night. They are currently up to the fifth book in the series and are entranced by all things Harry Potter.
This Funko 5 Star Albus Dumbledore Pop Figurine will be a favorite of any Harry Potter fan and the best part is that it comes with Fawkes the Phoenix just as all the other characters come with their own character-specific accessories! My children are getting more Harry Potter merchandise including Funko 5 Star Pop Figurines for Christmas so that they can work together to create live-action or stop-motion stories with them.
Just look at this window display box that Albus Dumbledore is packaged in. It puts him the Harry Potter world and is so much fun. I didn’t want to unpackage him but my kids thought he’d be more exciting out of the box since he’s actually posable. Go figure!
Even though we’ve already read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, we didn’t own the book. The Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The Illustrated Edition is the third book in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series is stunning and a must have for any Harry Potter fan. It is illustrated in full color by award-winning artist Jim Kay and is something that will have a place of honor on the bookshelf (right next to the Albus Dumbledore Funko 5 Star Pop Figurine.
To make it an even more perfect gift this holiday The Prisoner of Azkaban: The Illustrated Edition is hardcover and includes a ribbon bookmark so you’ll never lose your place while reading.

Every year, one thing that the kids know will be under the tree is a PEZ Gift Tin. Each one is different, but they always have at least 4 characters so that there is one for each of us (mom, dad, both kids). While we may have a challenge when it comes to who gets which character, we all love PEZ.
Under the tree this year will be The Grinch PEZ Gift Tin with four new PEZ dispensers including The Grinch, Cindy Lou, Fred, and Max. I’ve narrowed down my favorite to either Cindy Lou or Max so I’m sure I’ll have to challenge one of my kids for one of those. Which one would you choose?
Did you notice the shape of the tin itself? So much fun! It’s in the silhouette of The Grinch himself. If that wasn’t exciting enough there is a six-pack of sour Green Apple PEZ Candy included with each set. I’ve been ready to open this set since Illumination’s Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch hit theaters on November 9, 2018, but I’m holding out for a few more weeks.

My daughter has been sewing for as long as I can remember. My mother-in-law started teaching her when she was about 4 or 5 and she hasn’t stopped learning. It is a skill that will last her a lifetime and I’ve been blessed that my mother-in-law took the time to show her how to sew.
KLUTZ has two skill-building crafts the kids are going to love seeing under the tree this Christmas. From the My Simple Sewing Book & Craft Kit to the My Clothespin Zoo Book & Craft Kit they are bound to have hours of fun.
Both kits are perfect for small hands and preschool crafting. The My Clothespin Zoo craft kit makes 10 different animals AND teaches the kids fun facts about each animal! It is an all-in-one kit that includes familiar materials like pipe cleaners and pom-poms and helps the kids develop fine-motor skills.
The My Simple Sewing craft is great for boys and girls because it teaches them a skill while further developing their fine-motor skills. It has a plastic needle so that it’s safe for small hands and the kids can create 3 cute projects – a pizza pouch, a cookie keychain, and a cupcake plushy. They can even give their created projects to friends and family as gifts.

As a mom and an avid reader, I am thrilled that my children have inherited my love of books. Short stories, epic novels, paperbacks, hardbacks, illustrated, or comics – this family reads it all.
Interrupting Chicken and the Elephant of Surprise by David Ezra Stein is a fun story with heartwarming characters. This sequel to the Caldecott Honor-winning Interrupting Chicken features Chicken and his Papa, who is trying to explain that it’s not an Elephant of Surprise, but an Element of Surprise. Oh, the fun of helping kids with homework!
Interrupting Chicken and the Elephant of Surprise will be a cherished bedtime book with laugh out loud moments and is sure to be another award-winning book. It’s a book that once you finish reading, the kids ask you to read it again – and not because they’re trying to extend bedtime but that they are enjoying the story.

If my son could build anything it would be a drone. The Circuit Scribe Drone Builder Kit is the ultimate in drone building because not only can he build it, he can FLY it!
My kids love STEM learning and my son especially likes circuits. What does he like about circuits? If you ask him, he’ll tell you that it’s fun to create something and have an immediate response when you’ve completed the project!
With the Circuit Scribe Drone Builder Kit both kids and teens (and husbands) will have the chance to draw the “wires” to the motors with non-toxic conductive silver ink! How fun is that? They draw the wires! It’s an all-inclusive kit so you don’t have to worry about buying fancy circuits or cardboard. It is all in the box and ready for your kids under the tree.
How does it work?
The kids will assemble the drone hub and pre-made arms first. Next, they’ll place the motors on the arms by matching the symbols on the motors on the hub, and finally turn on the button underneath the hub so they’ll see a red light flash.
Once they see the red light flash, then the adults will connect a WiFi device (tablet or smartphone) to the CSDrone Network. Next, they’ll open the CSPilot App on the device, select the “phone tilt control” and tap the button with the one arrow pointing up and one arrow pointing down to take off and land. No complicated settings at all.
It’s an exciting project for the kids because they can create an actual flying drone from start to finish, by themselves. Plus, it has an onboard camera!
