Homestyle Sausage Gravy
If you follow me on Facebook, you know how much I love breakfast for dinner. Biscuits and Gravy is something we have for dinner a lot! My husband has been making this easy gravy recipe for what seems like forever. Absolutely my favorite sausage gravy, hands down!
Ingredients
- 1 pound bulk sausage
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Brown sausage in skillet
- Add flour and stir until flour is dissolved
- Add milk, gradually
- Cook until think and bubbly
- Add salt and pepper
- Serve over biscuits
- Makes 4 servings
If you like your gravy a little thinner, just add some more milk. Also, if you have leftovers (what’s that?), add some milk and re-heat. Sometimes we used WOMP (canned) biscuits and sometimes we make bisquick biscuits. Either way, this is the best sausage gravy we ever make. We usually will make some cheesy, scrambled eggs to serve with it and it makes such an easy, inexpensive meal.

Making this sure would give Bob Evans a run for our money. Sounds delish!
