Sheraton Universal City Hotel Review | Fun in California

Disclosure: I received an all-expense paid trip to California to attend the Monsters University Premiere and Disney Planes Junket as a media member.  All opinions are completely my own.

Sheraton Universal City Hotel

During my recent trip to California for the #MonstersUPremiere and #DisneyPlanesEvent, we stayed at the Sheraton Universal City Hotel.

A little about Sheraton Universal City Hotel from their website

For over 40 years, Sheraton Universal City Hotel, known as the “Hotel of the Stars”, has been immersed in the entertainment community.  Featuring an artful blend of Sheraton’s four-star service and the history of an iconic Hollywood hotel, our Universal City hotel plays a starring role for business travelers who want to extend their trip for pleasure and for leisure guests seeking a friendly yet cool, lively yet warm, centrally located Hollywood hotel.

My Review

After a 5 hour flight and a one-hour van ride, I arrived at the beautiful Sheraton Universal City Hotel. I was extremely tired but was taken by how beautiful the interior of the hotel was. We were all quickly checked in and received our key cards.

Honestly, we (the group of bloggers) were so busy for the 3 days we were in California that we didn’t actually spend much time in the hotel. Enough time to sleep a few hours and eat breakfast. The food selection for room service was so good. You can see from my picture that I had an omelet, fruit, juice, and coffee. The omelet was huge and enough to keep me going until lunchtime.

My friend, Dawn from Blogging Mom of 4, and I had a sandwich in the restaurant and it was very tasty. It was easy to charge everything to our rooms so that we didn’t have to carry around cash. I’m so bad about not carrying around cash, so that’s always a plus! There was even a bar next to the hotel lobby, so we were able to go celebrate a birthday one night with a few cocktails.

The bed was so comfortable, once my head hit the pillow I was out until my wake up call. The sheets were soft and the bed itself was firm. Loved it! Oh, and did you see my view? I was up on the 18th floor, it was so quiet, relaxing, and had such an amazing view of the city.

If I ever get back out to California, I’ll definitely stay at the Sheraton Universal City Hotel.
