Sugar Cookies with Reese’s Miniatures Peanut Butter Cups Recipe
Aye, Aye, Aye! All that leftover Halloween candy in the house, either from the kids or leftovers from the stash you were handing out, stares at me every time I pass the baggie. Really, what I did was separate all the candy into three bags. One for each of my children and one for me and my husband to share. I’m sure if you have kids, you have one of those bags, too. The candy the kids “can’t” or “shouldn’t” eat because it’s either hard/gooey or you want to eat it. 😉 I’m with you on this one, that’s how the Twizzlers, Snickers, and Reese’s Miniatures made it into our bag.
What do you do when you have all this extra candy and you don’t want to sit there in front of the TV, watching Warehouse 13 on Netflix, with a bag filled with candy on your lap? Don’t mention either of those things to my husband as I will deny both.
Now, this is what I did with the extra Reese’s Miniatures.
1. I made my Homemade Sugar Cookie recipe and before moving on to the rolling step, I added the peanut butter cups in step 2.
2. I chopped up about 15 Reese’s Miniatures Peanut Butter Cups into smaller pieces (it came to about a cup)
3. Roll the cookies into balls about 2 inches round and roll into sugar. I used both white sugar and orange sugar.
4. Cook according to the Homemade Sugar Cookie recipe. 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
That’s it!! The sugar cookie recipe is foolproof and I like the extra bit of chocolate I got by adding the peanut butter cups. Let me know how you like them. I cannot wait to hear what you think.
