Update on Family Tragedy

For those that were following me last year when I wrote about the tragic death of my 4-year-old nephew, Jake, I finally have an update.

I didn’t write anything about Jake’s (alleged) killer at the time because the police were doing their due diligence, but at this time the grand jury has come down with a felony indictment in the case. There will still be a trial, I do not know when, but I can say that the man charged with this crime was Jake’s biological father. I still try to wrap my head around someone killing any child. The fact that this was supposed to be someone who protected him, makes it even harder to understand.

I will have more information once there are more details to share. At this point, I am still grateful for all of your prayers and kind words for my sister and our family.
