Westgate Smokehouse Grill at Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa
While staying at the Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, we had a chance to visit the Westgate Smokehouse Grill for dinner with the family. We also got to watch this beautiful sunset during dinner. I couldn’t help but snap a picture.
They have large sized portions of normal smokehouse offerings such as smoked beef, chicken, and pork. They also have food for the little ones, including a children’s menu that is also a coloring and activity page. Those are my favorites since our kids are only four and five years old. That keeps them busy while we’re waiting for the food.
They do have a happy hour, so my husband and I each ordered a beer to have with our meal. The kids had lemonades (their fave!). While we were waiting for our dinner, our waitress suggested the nachos made with none other than TATER TOTS!! Okay, stay with me here. They are delicious and a bit addictive. We had a great waitress who was patient with the kids and she made sure that their drinks came out first and that they had the crayons and activity sheets to keep them occupied.
Dinner for me was the Chicken Margarita sandwich and my husband had the beef sandwich. The kids chose to have burgers and fruit. We actually had two and a half boxes of leftovers because there was so much food. No worries though, our suite had a refrigerator and full kitchen so we could save the leftovers for the next day.
The Westgate Smokehouse Grill is open to the public, but if you are staying in the resort you can take the Shuttle to the restaurant. So we had a great meal and didn’t have to drive to or from the restaurant! The kids were excited because we took a golf cart to get there and a shuttle bus on the way back. They thought it was such an adventure.
