Treasure Hunting

I love mornings like today; it’s beautiful outside. The temperature is nice and not too hot for Florida. I didn’t sleep much last night, but woke up with a little energy this morning and decided to have a date with my little man.

First we went to Chick-Fil-A because he asked for chicken nuggets for breakfast. I was just glad he was in a good mood and wanted to eat. Spending time with him was such a good idea.  We ate our breakfast and we decided to go “treasure hunting”.  That’s what we call looking for local garage sales.  He gets so excited looking for new “treasures” and I love watching the gleam in his eyes when he finds a new Hot Wheel or Matchbox car.

Our biggest find this morning was a huge box of unopened Crayola Sidewalk Chalk. It was one of those big boxes with lots of different packages inside.  All brand new and all for $1.00.  I really do get excited over the little things, especially when they don’t cost much AND I know how much fun the kiddos will have with them. We were both thrilled.

When we went to visit Grandma this morning he showed her all of his treasures and had to go outside and open his box of sidewalk chalk. He had some awesome drawings, now I’m wishing I had snapped a picture.  Maybe next time.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!

Much love. xo
