Homemade Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

Garlic Cheddar Biscuits

These easy to make Garlic Cheddar Biscuits are a family favorite. They pair perfectly with your next dinner – last night we had them with Slow Cooker beer bbq ribs and corn on the cob. They are quick and easy to make and any leftovers can be kept in a sealed container, in the fridge.

  • 1 TBSP Baking powder
  • 2 tsp. sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic, minced

Garlic Butter Ingredients

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir to combine.

  • Add milk until just moistened. *If still too dry, add milk by the tablespoon (up to 1 cup total) until just moistened.
  • Add cheddar cheese and combine.
  • On a greased baking sheet, add rounded spoonfuls of mixture. My biscuits are usually around 2 inches in diameter and make 17 biscuits.
  • Add to the oven to bake for 6 minutes.
  • Melt 1/4 butter and add 1 tsp. of garlic powder. Stir and set aside.
  • Remove biscuits from the oven at 6 minutes and brush or pour melted garlic butter over the biscuits.
  • Return biscuits to the oven for 6 more minutes.
  • Remove after 6 minutes and add any leftover garlic butter to biscuits.
