Keto “Instant” Hot Chocolate Recipe

This week marks my six-month “keto-versary” and as now that we have cooler weather here in Florida it was time to come up with an “instant” keto-friendly hot chocolate. There are plenty of recipes out there that involve coconut milk or almond milk and are made on the stove-top. Those are great and I make those versions often, but sometimes you need something quick to warm you up and taste good.

That’s where this recipe comes in. In less than 5 minutes you can have a flavored hot chocolate with whipped cream!

Keto “Instant” Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz. hot water
  • 1 TBSP Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp. Swerve, or preferred sweetener, adjusted for personal taste
  • 1 TBSP Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 TBSP Sugar-Free flavoring. I use Torani and Skinny Girl brands.
  • 2 TBSP Sugar-Free Heavy Whipped Cream (optional)

Directions:

  • Turn on Keurig and set to 10 oz. or heat 10 oz. of water to boiling
  • Combine Cocoa powder and Swerve in a mug
  • Add hot water and stir to dissolve the powder
  • Add Heavy Whipping Cream and stir
  • Add Sugar-free flavoring and stir
  • Add Sugar-free Heavy Whipped Cream (optional)
